PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT UPDATE:  Larger Sizes Available SOON.

Our company is now in the process of prototyping several larger and smaller collapsible UV-C light sanitizing disinfecting chambers, sizes from five gallons to 800 gallons.  For example, the 800-gallon in development can easily disassemble and fold into a stackable 81" x 45" x 8.27" unit - break down and assembly in under three minutes.  For information, please contact us.

UV-C Sterilizer Sanitization Device - 80 Liter (21 Gallon) Chamber - Product Highlights:

  • Non-chemical, non-toxic, non-residue form of sanitization
  • Lightweight - A single unit (without accessories) weighs around10 lbs
  • Portable - When collapsed, you can easily fit two dozen devices in the trunk of a car
  • Readiness - Units can be stored with minimal space.  100 units = 2,100 gallons of germicidal disinfection / sanitization capacity.
  • Portable collapsible chamber enables commercial users to transport multiple chambers from location to location, as needed.
  • Dry disinfection technology means that no liquid or chemicals are applied to surfaces or items that have frequent human contact

Sanitization Cabinet Chamber Specifications:

  • Shared utensils, containers, kitchen items, food packages, shared items
  • Assisted living - shared items such as remotes, pens, utensils, games, paper

About UV and UV-C Germicidal Sanitizing:

UV sanitization is a process that uses ultraviolet light to kill germs, such as bacteria, viruses, and mold.  There are three different wavelengths of UV light, UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C.  The third type, UV-C is by far the most effective at killing microorganisms.

Unfortunately, there are two problems with UV-C light for germicidal applications - first, this type of light has a short wavelength, which means that the light source must be in close proximity to germs in order to effectively kill them, and second, this type of UV light is quite dangerous.  You should never look directly at UV-C light and you should never expose your skin to this type of light unless you are wearing the appropriate UV-rated personal protective equipment.

Despite these two shortcomings of UV-C sanitization and disinfecting procedures, there are in fact considerable advantages to using UV-C, if used safely in certain types of applications:

  1. UV-C light can safely neutralize bacteria and viruses from the surfaces of electronic devices, chemical-sensitive materials, various handheld tools, shared office items, textile and paper items, and any other small objects where the application of toxic chemicals or liquids must be avoided.
  2. UV-C light is a dry, contactless germicidal medium that in many cases can prolong the life of objects and materials, as compared to chemical disinfection and sanitization procedures.
  3. UV-C light has proven to be safe and effective for decades.  It does not penetrate through plastic, glass, or most solid non-light-penetrating materials.  It is totally safe as long as you can't see it or expose your skin to it.
  4. For decades, UV-C light has been used to disinfect and sanitize surgery rooms, hospitals, food and water (processing plants), air conditioning systems, even home aquarium water filtration systems.  In such applications, the light is not exposed to human skin or eyes.

Liquid, gaseous, chemical, and heat sanitization and sterilization are not suitable for every scenario.  Toxic chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) used in conventional sanitization processes are known health hazards.  These typically leave toxic residue behind on surfaces.  When used correctly, UV-C light is a powerful and effective alternative.

The foldable, collapsible container is made with eco-friendly polypropylene (PP) material, LFGB (European Food Grade) certified. The top-loading wing doors lock with child-resistant tabs, making it somewhat difficult to open when the light is operating.

Units can be easily collapsed in a 3.5" high compact base.  The anti-skid bottom and interlocking nesting design make it possible to stack up to 34 units in a single vertical column, up to ten feet high.  That's 714 gallons of sanitizing space storable in a 3.25 square foot profile of floor space - for storage or cargo transport.  Units are easy to wipe down and clean.  Removable light fixtures and non-metal durable hinges make it possible to hose down units for efficient cleaning.

Each unit includes two powerful snap-in UV-C lamps, connected in series.  One lamp is attached under the top-loading wing door - this lamp is for downward spectrum UV rays.  The other lamp is attached to the base of the internal chamber, with UV rays aiming upward.

Each lamp is made of high-quality quartz material.  Note:  UV-C will not penetrate through glass or plastic.  Our lamps are designed for long service life, with the highest rate of transmission for improved sterilization.

These are small, powerful UV-C lights that deliver a powerful combination of ultraviolet and ozone disinfection, sanitization, decontamination, and deodorizing applications.  If it's a microorganism and our lights can contact it, consider it dead on arrival, in thirty minutes or less.

Our UV-C light kills all types of viruses, bacteria, dust mites, algae, microscopic insects, mold, fungi, and just about any form of the pathogen, including offspring, eggs, and larvae. UVC is highly effective at killing viruses by destroying molecular bonds that make up their DNA.

Important Design Flaw Note:  Your item may or may not include mylar lining.  This lining can be removed, which will affect the physical appearance of the internal chamber.  If you do remove the mylar, there will be dried adhesive residue on the surface.  This does not affect the performance of the device whatsoever, as mylar is not particularly effective at reflecting UV-C spectrum light.  If the mylar is removed or comes apart during use, simply discard it.  We apologize for any change in appearance.  To be honest, we just thought it would make our product look cool, but it was an unnecessary feature of our design.

CAUTION:

  • Ultraviolet light can burn the skin and harm the human eye, humans cannot be in the room when it is used. Please also remove animals and plants before disinfecting the area.
  • Excessive inhalation of ozone is harmful for your health. After disinfecting, ventilate the disinfected place and wait at least 20 minutes before entering.
